The Gods of Albain
There is only one truth in Albain, everything that lives will die. Eventually.

It is these aspects of existence which form the cornerstone of Albain belief - there two Gods, one of life and one of death. Every other belief is but a pale reflection of these.

In Esland, which clings most strongly to the old ways and whose religion spread to wider Albain, and which is under the control of the Archpriestess, these Gods are named Lifum and Banum. Lux is symbolised by the Rising Sun and Set by the Crescent Moon.

However, people being as they are, there are many smaller gods which are worshipped, either by trades, in homes, or in the rural communities. Each remains, however, but a pale reflection of the two.
